Gene Bank Highlight – TEMPER TANTRUM

The RSG Foundation was honored to welcome a group from Bridge2Rwanda to our Ballinger, Texas, location.

Educational & Research Genetics Grant Application

The RSG Foundation Educational & Research Genetics Grant provides individuals, schools, and research institutions with access to semen and embryos from the RSG Foundation Gene Bank to support education and research in small ruminant reproduction.

Qualified applicants can apply online each quarter for genetics to use in educational or research initiatives. Recipients are responsible only for shipping costs, with the option to pick up genetics at RSG’s storage facility in Lebanon, Indiana.

If you’re planning to attend National FFA Convention, make the most of your trip by scheduling an RSG facility tour during the week.

Bring your FFA chapter behind the scenes to learn more about reproductive technologies, genetics, animal health, and the opportunities shaping the future of agriculture. It’s a great way to give students a hands-on look at the livestock industry while they’re in the area.

First Flock Herd Program Winner Highlight

The RSG Foundation is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 First Flock-Herd Grant Program, a national initiative designed to support young and aspiring livestock producers in acquiring their first breeding sheep or goat.

Get to know one of our sixteen grant recipients below:

Ryleigh Jordan is a 10-year-old who lives on a small farm with her parents and younger brother, where she has developed a love for animals and agriculture. She is active in her elementary school choir, her local 4-H club, her church youth group, and a community youth softball program, where she pitches and plays first base.

This marks Ryleigh Jane’s fifth year showing lambs, and she is honored to receive support from the RSG Future Flock Foundation to purchase a new lamb and begin building a flock of her own.

She looks forward to continuing to grow her knowledge and passion for agriculture through this opportunity.
