United Suffolk Sheep Association Educational Event

The RSG Foundation will host the United Suffolk Sheep Association Junior Members on June 5th, for a day focused on education, innovation, and flock success.

Gene Bank Highlight – APOLOGY ACCEPTED

The RSG Foundation Gene Bank is designed to make quality sheep and goat genetics more accessible while supporting the future of the industry. Through breeder donations, semen and embryos are made available at a reduced cost to help new and young producers strengthen their programs.

These contributions also support youth engagement, education, and ongoing industry advancement – creating opportunities for the next generation to succeed.

Youth Genetics Grant Application

The RSG Foundation is committed to investing in the next generation of sheep and goat producers through quarterly Gene Bank grants for youth under 21.

These grants provide access to semen designed to help young producers strengthen and advance their breeding programs through elite genetics.

Recipients are selected through an application process and receive redemption instructions via email, with all procedures completed by RSG or an approved veterinarian.

NEW First Flock Herd Program Winner Highlight

The RSG Foundation is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 First Flock-Herd Grant Program, a national initiative designed to support young and aspiring livestock producers in acquiring their first breeding sheep or goat.

Get to know one of our sixteen grant recipients below:

Jeff is a 12-year-old student with a strong interest in agriculture and hands-on farm projects. He enjoys working with electricity and building practical projects that support farm operations. Jeff plans to pursue a future in farming and has developed a growing interest in dairy goat management and production.

Receiving the goat grant will allow him to expand his experience in livestock care and continue developing skills in responsible animal stewardship. He is active in 4-H and plans to show his goat through the program this year.
