The RSG Foundation is committed to investing in the next generation of sheep and goat producers through quarterly Gene Bank grants for youth under 21.

These grants provide access to semen designed to help young producers strengthen and advance their breeding programs through elite genetics.

Recipients are selected through an application process and receive redemption instructions via email.

The RSG Foundation is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 First Flock-Herd Grant Program, a national initiative designed to support young and aspiring livestock producers in acquiring their first breeding sheep or goat.

Get to know one of our sixteen grant recipients below:

Stephanie has been involved in agriculture for most of her life through Sebastopol FFA and Goldridge 4-H, where she showed dogs, pygmy goats, Boer goats, and sheep. Today, she is proud to give back to the agricultural community as a 4-H leader and advisor.

This fall, Stephanie earned a Certificate in Animal Science (Livestock and Equine Management) from Santa Rosa Junior College and plans to focus on raising and breeding Boer goats.

She is incredibly grateful to the many people who have supported her along the way and is especially thankful for the opportunity to be selected for the 2026 First Flock Herd Program.
