2025 Impact

Since establishing the RSG Foundation in 2023, we have seen tremendous growth. Together, with partners, donors, and breeders like you, we’ve made real progress in empowering the next generation and improving the health and sustainability of sheep and goat production across the country.

Here are a few highlights made possible through your support as of December 31^st, 2025

• 29 youth under the age of 21 received First Flock-Herd grants, providing them with their very first breeding ewe or doe. These young people represent the future of our industry, and your support helps them begin their journey with confidence.
• We awarded over $10,000 in semen grants, giving youth free access to high-quality sheep and goat genetics to improve their breeding programs and expand their opportunities.
• The Foundation hosted the Small Ruminant Veterinarians Thought Leadership Summit, bringing together leading veterinarians from across the world to collaborate on emerging health challenges and strengthen the veterinary pipeline for our industry.
• We proudly supported the launch of the new children’s book Lanie’s Little Lamb, helping inspire young readers to learn more about livestock, responsibility, and agriculture.
• Through our partnership with Handspun Hope in Rwanda, we extended our mission beyond our borders—supporting women who transform wool into handcrafted textiles that sustain their families and preserve cultural traditions.
• We continued our commitment to youth development by supporting the Freedom Farms Youth Program, investing in hands-on learning and leadership experiences.
• And in 2025, we officially launched our Solar Grazing Health Initiative, a first-of-its-kind program providing animal welfare oversight, health assessments, and consulting services to support the growing solar grazing industry—creating new markets for sheep and goat producers nationwide while moving toward cleaner energy.
