2024 Impact Highlights
- Over $13,000 in semen grants were awarded to youth in 22 states.
- Over 30 applicants applied for the First Flock-Herd grant program from 20 states.
- Over 6,000 units of semen were donated to our Gene Bank from breeders across the U.S.
- We supported youth education programs for the Suffolk and Hampshire Sheep Associations, along with Purdue University veterinarian students.
- Support a one-day youth sheep showmanship camp.
- Provided support to the West Virginia Freedom Farms sheep breeding program.
- Supported breeding expansion efforts for the Arapawa Goats in conjunction with the Smithsonian and Conner Prairie.
- Supported efforts for breed introduction and expansion of the Australian White sheep breed.
